My mindfulness teacher, Sri Lankan Buddhist Monk Venerable Bhante Sujatha is in Switzerland this week with 5 classes in and and around Zürich! 💗🙏😊 What is mindfulness anyway? It is simply noticing what is happening right now. How your body feels and what you see, smell and taste. Mindfulness is noticing emotions and thoughts. Meditation helps us train our brain to be focused and mindful when we are not sitting on a meditation cushion, i.e. everyday life.
How can this help us and our children? When we learn to notice what is happening in our body and environment, we learn to focus. This mindful concentration can help us calm down when we're feeling stressed, angry or frustrated. It can help us have more perspective and awareness in our relationships, family and work. Loving kindness meditation in particular emphasizes fostering feelings of wellness, happiness and peace within ourselves and towards others.
Join Bhante for one of his upcoming classes where he shares simple tools for bringing more mindfulness and loving kindness into your life. Live translation into German.
